Welcome to Yeguada Romerito!
Yeguada Romerito, our Andalusian Farm, is located in a idyllic, little town called Dansville,
Michigan, centrally located between Michigan State University (East Lansing), the Ingham County
Fairgrounds (Mason) and Waterloo Hunt Club (Grass Lake).

We are Jim, a successful project manager & MI-OSHA Commissioner (which means safety always
comes first at our farm), Gabriele, who has the pleasure of staying home to train and enjoy
beautiful horses, Elena and Isabelle, who brighten every day!

Jim, who is originally from Petoskey, Michigan, met Gabriele at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and
one year later she could not resist his charm any longer. Gabriele moved from Germany to
Michigan to marry Jim and will forever be thankful to him, since Jim was extremely supportive to
bring Romerito with her.

She has owned Romerito since he was 11 months old and Jim knew, this spectacular stallion was
a piece of family/home/Germany to her.

Our household includes
our Weimaraner “Lucas”
and two cats “Tomcat”
and “ Lisl ” and
they love each other.

And the one enjoying all her animals
the most are Jim and Gabriele's daughters
Elena and Isabelle- and how could they resist?

Our horses are our foundation stallion “Romerito”. and his lovely ladies Fantasia PMF, Lar
Besadora, and last but not least up-and-coming Gauchada.
All of our horse are gentle as can be and are chosen to produce spectacular foals together!

After years of searching we discovered "Fantasia PMF" far north in Alberta, Canada.
Never before have we seen a mare of this caliber before and we are very proud to be blessed with
this treasure!

If you believe in destiny, Lar Besadora came into our lives to bless our daughter Elena!

And Gauchada, how could I have ever even dreamt of owning her...?
She is our best kept secret and will be our started under saddle when she is of age.
After raising Romerito, she is the first foal that I get to enjoy raising long term and the most
fascinating thing is to watch the devoted friendship between her and Romerito!
Gauchada's dam is bay, and when she first moved in, she did believe Romerito was her dam, ...
until she got closer, yet I still feel that Romerito took her under his wings ever since!

Many acres of green pasture are available for our horses. After Romerito's dedicated work under
saddle, he enjoy his freedom right next to his beautiful ladies and watches his foals play and grow
up and loves his interaction will his herd.

Our goal is to breed docile, energetic P.R.E. Andalusians and Andalusian/Warmblood crosses
with strong bones, that are at least 16 hands tall, straight forward moving athletes for Dressage -
Competitive and Classical.

If we breed, we want to be certain that 11 months later a top quality horse is born. Our goal by
standing Romerito at stud is to have a positive impact on the quality of the P.R.E. !

If we agree, that Romerito is the right breeding stallion for your mare, we will provide high quality
samples for AI. Romerito is very fertile and Michigan State University collects, quantifies, stores,
and ships his samples for us and also communicates directly with your vet.

2008 is going to be a very exciting year, as Gabriele and the Midwest Pure Spanish Horse
Association "MPSHA" are working on the very first regional event in celebration of the Pure
Spanish Horse - FIESTA MIDWEST ! Owner and breeders of these fine horses will be able for the
very first time in our region to present their horses in front of a Spanish Judge, certified by the
ANCCE! And Fiesta Midwest also brings ANCCE Revision and Inscription to a very central
location! Planned to be the largest sales event and biggest celebration for the Pure Spanish
Horse, we are looking forward to welcoming you there and your IALHA-(S) Horses and Spanish
registered P.R.E.s!

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Gabriele & Jim Baker
