ELIODORO YR - P.R.E. Gelding, Romerito out of Lar Besadora "Eddie has been in training for 2 months and is doing great! Lynda Weese is my trainer (she trains with Walter Zettl). She loves him. I love his brother Leo… I wish I could have another… My trainer did send out his dreamhorse ad to her students because she loves Eddie’s willing attitude so much. He is one of the easiest horses she has started." Michele Booth, IN, 07/10 |
BALDOMERO YR - Andalusian Gelding "I bought Baldomero aka Diego when he was about 3 months old. I flew up to look at Romerito and his dam Unique. Romerito is an incredible stallion and I was amazed at his wonderful behavior while at a horse show. When Diego let me sit with him in his stall with his head in my lap snoring that was it! Diego is fun to be around and is always know as the clown. He has been shown in USDF breed classes and in IALHA shows in halter and has excelled in both. At the IALHA National show in 2006 Diego was Grand Champion Jr. Gelding and also achieved the IALHA USEF Horse of the Year Reserve Champion for our region. Since then he has been started under saddle. Unfortunately I have not been able to take him as far as I would like the past few years due to my health issues but I am always hopeful to get back to showing someday." Lori Shelton, KS, 12/10 |
ARIESA YR - Andalusian Mare (Unique x Romerito) "Ariesa is my baby girl and I love her!" Tammy Larson, MI, 12/10 |
DUCADO YR - Revised P.R.E. Stallion Romerito out of Fantasia PMF "... without Ducado, my life would not make any sense and I would never understand the meaning of true compassion, generosity, gratitude and all encompassing love and joy. I now know that nature works in mysterious ways and that we all are connected. I am finding an amazing proof of that every day in my life with Ducado....So, with all my heart and soul - Thank you, Ducado for being you. And thank you, Gabi, for making this happen!" IZARRA GHF- Andalusian Mare, Romerito out of Helena "...Then I saw her. Our eyes locked. I had an overwhelming feeling of completeness. I HAD to HAVE her. Izarra GHF is her name. One week later Izarra was mine. It was late summer 2008 so the show season was over. We trained over the winter and hit the next dressage season with a bang! Scoring well into the 60's and 70's. I will be competing in 2011 riding Izarra first and second level. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Grand Prix is in our dreams." Sarah Kress, OR, 09/10 |
VOLTARO YR - Andalusian/TB Gelding Romerito out of Zirconia (Thoroughbred) "I knew that Vinnie was very special from the first moment I saw him. He was only three months old, but his wonderful personality was already apparent. He's proved to be incredibly smart and brave, and has a wonderful sense of humor! He is everything that I could have wanted in a partner for dressage. I believe that his wonderful gaits and work ethic may take us to the FEI levels. I think that he is "the horse of a lifetime" for me. I am so grateful to Gabi for allowing me the opportunity to have such a beautiful, sweet and talented horse in my life. Lorie Degrazia, MI, 12/12 |
FRANCESCA - Romerito out of Normandy (Oldenburg) "Frankie is a natural athlete, and she has proven her abilities again and again this show season. She has consistently scored in the mid to upper 60s at dressage shows and is currently competing at first level. Frankie has a mental toughness combined with the athleticism to take her to the upper levels of dressage. She recently worked in hand for the first time, and her natural ability for piaffe and passage were evident. |
FERNANDO YR- P.R.E. Andalusian Stallion (Fandango del Sol x Gaea H) "Since the first time I saw Fernando on an ad I knew right away that he would be the perfect colt for me. Even if he was only a couple months old in that pic I knew he would be a perfect match for a lifetime friendship. And since the first time I saw him in person on my 24th birthday after a long drive from California to Michigan we connected right away. Ever since then we are inseparable, growing on each other. What I love about Fernando is that he completely trusts me no matter what we do or were we go. Not only is his presence majestic but at the same time really noble. He is super sweet with people and loves their attention, especially when he is showing off his incredible movements in the arena. Once again thanks so much Gabi for giving me the opportunity and privilege of owning this magnificent young stallion Fernando YR." ROSA DE LOS VIENTOS - Romerito out of Rose (Paint) "Rose" is the horse I have been waiting for all my life. She is honest to the core, she trusts me completely, she has incredibly soft, balanced gaits that are easy to ride, and she is soooo smart! She was the easiest horse ever to start under saddle. I remember another trainer telling me I was crazy starting her under saddle by myself in an english saddle, but I just knew that she would never hurt me, and she didn't. She never offered to do anything even remotely bad and today, at 4 years old with roughly 30 hours of riding time, I can ride her bareback in a halter and leadrope and she will do everything in the halter that she does in a bridle. She is so in tune with what I am doing that she responds to the slightest shift of my weight or squeeze of my leg or rein making it feel like she is reading my mind. All I have to do is engage my abdominal muscles and she rounds over her back and comes onto the bit. I have ridden many horses in my lifetime and she is a Cadillac in comparison. After having back surgery and cancer, I have struggled with many physical problems of my own and have considered giving up riding because it just makes me hurt. Rose makes riding fun and painless again because I don't have to struggle, push and pull to make the magic happen. She is a designer dressage horse who is my best friend and quite probably my last, and best, horse. Julie Fleming, FL, 12/10 |
REGALO DE PAZ - P.R.E. Gelding out of Fantasia PMF "Regalo is the very best horse I have ever had the opportunity to own in my entire 55 years of owning horses. He is very intellegent, has the most wonderful additude and is so level headed that he is not afraid of anything. He will go along a trail without hesitation and will go over jumps and will investigate baloons that are flying about. Wonderful disposition. A horse to meet anyone's needs. If I were just getting into horses and knew what I now know, I would never own anything but an Andalusian. I am just grateful that I finally found this horse before I got out of horses otherwise I would never have had the opportunity to know the best." Barbara Dierdorf, CA, 12/10 |
To be continued shortly...Oy Click, OH, 12/10 |
More impressive than her dressage talent, however, is her versatility. At a hunter/jumper show in central Florida last fall, I took her just to "tag along" and get the feel of a big, chaotic show environment. My trainer decided to put her in a 3 foot jumper class just for experience. Although she had done some jumping, she had never jumped an entire course, done roll backs or been pushed for speed. She went around the course like a pro with the fastest posted time. She pulled one rail in the jump off and finished third out of 21 horses. My trainer breeds jumpers and brought several well-bred warmbloods to the show, but he had to admit that Frankie outshone all of them. A month later, she went to another show where she placed in every jumper show. Just for fun, we put her in a few hunter classes. Although she is far from the hunter type, she went around the ring in a nice frame and ended up placing in every class. Frankie always tries her best and remains undaunted by even the most challenging tests. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for my special friend and me." Christie Gold, FL, 12/10 |
VALENTINA MP - Andalusian Mare (Mina MP x Romerito) "I got Valentina at 6 months old not knowing how she would develop, all I had to go on was her lineage (Romerito II & Mina). She has exceeded my expectations in morphology, movement, and great temperament. I continue to be impressed with her intelligence every time we train, on the weekends when time permits, Val picks up the lesson on the first go around. She is very athletic and powerful under saddle, yet so soft on the reins that some of the PRE owners that have seen her ask who has been training her. I could not be happier with Valentina, she is true to her lineage." Johnny Jimenez, FL, 01/11 |
MA BRISONA - P.R.E. Mare (Gabriela x Romerito) "Brisa continues to be amazing. She spent 2 months with Maree McAteer this summer in Montrose, Co where she went camping, did many trails as well as arena work. She crosses gullies, streams, and even went for a swim with Maree at the Equitation Clinic in Apsen we did this summer. I went back to Montrose in September to spend a week working with Maree and Brisa. We did something with her everyday for 7 days including 3 long trail rides in the hills around Montrose, arena work, riding in the jump field, and long reining. She was always ready to go! We continue to do trail riding as well as arena work and long reining. She is truly awesome. Maree loved working with her and everyone who saw her told me how Maree always talked about her and how good she was and easy, willing and ready to learn something new. She's the same with me, always ready to go, looking for the answer and has energy when you need it, calm when you need it. Pretty great for a 4 year old! Here's to many years of riding and loving my Brisa girl!" Cindy Distin, 10/11 |
GRANDINA YR - Romerito x Zirconia "It is hard to believe that just 5 years ago, I was looking at a spindly legged little filly with the hopes of having her become my first FEI level horse. Now here we are, well on our way, training 3rd level and having our eyes set on the FEI levels. Grandina is extremely talented and qualified for Regionals last year at 1st level as a young 5-year-old, during her first year in the show ring. She is a graceful mare and has tons of heart. She is somewhat of a diva, but she is so beautiful, doesn't she deserve to be a queen? We have such a wonderful bond and she would do anything to please me. Her wonderful bloodlines are the reason for her talent and I am very fortunate to have met Gabi and Romerito and that I was blessed to have met my soulmate in this mare. I am very excited for the future and keep your eye out for Grandina in the show ring this year at Waterloo! If you see us, come say hi!" Nikki Schram, MI 12/11 |
